The temptation of black.

I have no idea why CLEAR commercials have been my most awaited commercials everytime. I mean, the Rain commercial made a huge impact ( by reading the forums, everyone seemed to be smitten with Rain by now ), and now, they’re selling a very, very bold idea - Black Valentines.

The commercial starts with lovely ladies walking on the streets, as one gets hit by a black cupid’s arrow, as their crimson red attires turn into black. Then, a dashing guy’s car gets hit, too, as well as him. Then, they come together, all in black, with all their shiny, and beautiful hair, moving closer to each other. The scene ends with Piolo Pascual ( sigh, I love you Piolo!!!! ) being revealed as the black cupid.

To tell you a secret, I remember a very strange memory of me making a statement during Valentines day way back during my college years - I wore black. During Valentines Day, it was a cheerful custom to wear red, as it adds to the lovely air of the day. I didn’t feel like wearing red, and I was in a rebellious streak, so I wore black, to the surprise of my friends. They asked me why I wore black. I jokingly told them, “but I’m mourning. Nothing to celebrate about.”, but then I simply wanted to wear black because black IS my favorite color. I look good in it, and looking good in black is actually very demanding in such a way that your hair needs to be flake-free all the time, and I think that’s the message that CLEAR is delivering to its market.

Who’s with me into wearing black this Valentines? I think I can well expect more people to do so given this new challenge given to us by CLEAR. Let’s all be bold, be black, and move closer anytime!

I just wished Piolo would have gotten more airtime. Would have been lovely to see him seduce women in action. Teehee.
