A shampoo with glycerin and virgin coconut oil making it gentle on hair and scalp. Enriched with tea tree extract to fight against dandruff, and peppermint to relieve scalp itching. Leaves your hair and scalp clean, healthy and refreshed.
From my previous post I promised a review of my latest purchase from my friend Emily’s company, Nutrizen. Knowing me, I was sold the moment I saw the word “Peppermint” on the label because I love, love, love minty shampoos. Even if almost every minty shampoo I’ve tried dries my hair and makes me so sad, I still haven’t given up. I feel that there will be a Holy Grail minty-shampoo for me in due time. *wink*
Believe me when I say that it was love at first sniff, because it smelled per-fec-tion. The fragrance is far, far away from synthetic, and I could almost feel all cool, mildly citrus, and ready for a shower. The scent is clearly a winner, and I just wish that they would come up with a body wash that smelled just like this. The cleansing base was actually very different than what I have tried before - it seemed to lather fairly well ( not too much, but that’s okay ), but it had a very slippery feel ( I think that’s where the EVCO comes in ). My head felt very cool, relaxed, including my shoulders, which had the spillover effect.
As for the question if this is drying to the hair, I would say that of all the minty shampoos that I have tried, this is the least drying to the hair. Of course, a good conditioner would still be needed to make sure that hair would be well moisturized, so I would say that this is a good shampoo, but pair it with a really moisturizing conditioner, too.
I’m just about to order the big bottle. Haha, this is just perfect for summer!
