Kikay Girl’s DIY Hotoil Treatment

Keeping one’s crowning glory is a must, for when it shines, it attracts attention. Well, on the other side, dry, damaged hair also grabs attention. The bad one.

While we maintain our hair via applying conditioner everyday, it is also a must to indulge and treat our stressed, exposed-to-the-elements hair to an intensive conditioning treatment every week. While it is too expensive to have our hair pampering every week at the salon, here are some D-I-Y at home hot-oil, or intensive conditioning treatments.

What You Need : A pot of intensive conditioner, or hot oil treatment.
The Kikay Girl Loves : Sunsilk Damage Repair Intensive Conditioner, around 250+ pesos, a great, intensely conditioning and repairing conditioning treatment that is also light on the pocket.

Three Ways on How To Do It

#1. Shampoo your hair as usual, then dry it with an electric fan or a blower. Then, on dry hair, apply two scoops of conditioner to your hair, make sure that each section of the hair is equally covered, but do not let the conditioner touch the scalp for it may cause flaking. Use a blower for hair to dry with the conditioner, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse.

#2 Shampoo your hair as usual, then squeeze off excess water. Apply the intensive conditioner on the hair, let it stay for 10-15 minutes, then rinse.

#3 Here’s a real DIY hands-on hotoil way to do it : Get a basin of hot water, and a towel that you will immerse in it. While damp hair has already been applied with conditioner, squeeze off excess water from the towel, and wrap hair with the hot towel. When the towel cools, immerse it again in hot water, squeeze off excess water, and wrap hair again. Keep on doing it for 10-15 minutes.

So, there you go, no need for the salon for now, you just have to keep with you one pot of intensive conditioning treatment! After all, it’s what salons use, they just have the machines to “heat up” and make your hair absorb the conditioning treatment. The procedures stated above would really help you save some moolah for the rainy days!

Have a great weekend, everyone! Stay kikay and kikoy!
