Product Review : Head and Shoulders Intensive Solutions

Dandruff is just one of the bad, recurring stuff that we have to deal with, eh? It’s simply one of those stuff that ruin your day, just like having pimples! Grrr!

But since the haircare industry is getting all competitive ( gosh, it seems to be , really ! ), dandruff will be a problem of the past in a few years’ time. They just keep on getting better and better!

Head and Shoulders Intensive Solutions is one of the products that I’ve been referring to. Honestly, the predecessor of this – just the Head and Shoulders shampoo, did not fare well on my scalp. But this is another story.

Aside from the impressive packaging ( love the midnight blue and silver tandem! the box in the picture is not included in the Philippine version of this product ), this shampoo has got the best scent in the market. My sister would be lured by my just-washed hair , and say, “hmm, your hair just smells so good!”, as I would say, “hey, that’s an anti-dandruff shampoo!”, as she would not believe that I just said that. Dandruff shampoos are perceived to smell bad for their medicinal purposes, but Head & Shoulders Intensive Solutions does not compromise at all! The scent is not overly masculine or feminine – it is appealing on a unisex level.

Head and Shoulder Intensive Solutions has 2% pyrithione zinc in its formula. Aside from selenium sulfide, zinc is also found to be effective in combatting dandruff.

So, does it work? Well, I’ve read , and heard some reviews that indeed, this helped them get rid of their flakes for good, and as my story goes, I’ve gotten some problem flakes after my beach trips this summer ( *sob* ), and Head and Shoulders Intensive Solutions helped control them, and lessened the itchiness associated with them. It didn’t dry my chemically processed hair, with its moisturizing properties. This is a great shampoo fit for everyday use!

Lastly, priced at around 140 pesos for a big bottle, it is indeed worth every penny!
